The Journey to Me - Finding My Destiny Career

For many years now I have been a pretty indecisive person about what career is right for me. In all honesty, I always wanted to be a midwife, I just didn't believe in myself to do it. I fluffed around for a few years as a chef, then makeup artist, then headed down the direction of Allied Health. In general I wasn't happy.

Between all though, my mind kept sitting on Midwifery.
I delved more and more into different shows like 'The Midwives' and read up on Medical Journals, my brain slowly accumulating more and more beautiful knowledge about the relationship that forms between midwife and woman, through from the early happy days, and even through grief.

Through my searches of different courses, and finding what would be right for me and my family, how to work my little tooshie off to get into uni and the different pathways to get there, I came across something so valuable and interesting.

I came across a site called Open 2 Study.
They offer free 'try before you buy' courses. That is the best way to put it. It doesn't have recognition, but it is kind of like introductory courses to strengthen basic knowledge, and see if you are still interested afterwards.

Immediately I signed up to two of the courses to test the waters about Midwifery. One is Nursing and the other is Midwifery, of course.

Immediately after started, I felt welcomed in the little community, and started on my work. You watch a video, about a different topic, and answer a question about the material afterwards. You are provided with furthur study if you so choose, like non-compulsory group activities, sites to visit, and books that would be very valuable to read.

Each course is about a month long, and at the end, you get a special certificate to print out.

I have only started this little journey today, and there are a select few other courses I would like to try on here when I am done. I will update you all on how I feel about these mini-courses when I have completed them.

For now I have attached a couple of screen shots of the website, and once again thank you for joining me on this journey :)
